We recorded this fascinating discussion where industry experts explored the varied degrees to which individual attitudes, values and beliefs have been affected by the crisis.

Mark Ormond Managing Director hosted the session with panellists including Senior Safety leaders from a cross section of Industries – Construction, Waste & Telecoms as well as some of Tribes highly experience Culture Change Consultants.

About the Consultants.

Paul Wright, Group Health and Safety Director for Biffa Plc.
Paul Joined Biffa in January 2018. He has worked in health, safety and environmental management for over 20 years, and has held numerous senior health and safety roles for EDF, Costain and Laing O’Rourke.

He is a passionate enthusiast for attaining excellence in leadership; risk management; and workforce engagement… we know that’s true.. we’ve had the pleasure to work with Paul and his team at Biffa over the last 6 months to develop a refreshed safety culture change programme across the business – which was launched earlier this year.

Gareth Davies, Head of Health, Safety & Environment at Nokia

Gareth is responsible for the direction of the business in all aspects of employee health from offices, R&D, labs, manufacturing, logistics through to the higher risk areas of field deployment.

He has 18 years of experience implementing programs that have a strong behavioural content, built on a continuous drive to make the complicated simple and empower people to make the right decisions from top to bottom in the organisation.

We have worked with Gareth on some really interesting projects,  the development and launch of Nokia’s global lifesaving rules, the ‘excellence on repeat’ project to encourage people to investigate excellence with the same rigour as investigating accidents… and most recently the Good day at Work programme to support team resilience.

Neil Edmunds, SHEQ Director at United Living Space & Fast Flow

We first worked with Neil back in the early 2000’s when Neil was safety director at Bombardier and afterwards during Neil’s time as safety Director at Wates Group.

Neil has – 30 years’ experience across high risk sectors, Mining, Oil and Gas, Rail and construction.  20 years at a senior level in SHEQ.

Neil says that all that experience is now being challenged by this Covid situation, testing risk management principles, motivating and supporting people and teams with varying levels of anxiety and advising and supporting businesses for economic survival.
